PRP TREATMENT
PRP treatment is a treatment method that means “Platelet Rich Plasma – platelet-enriched plasma treatment”. This practice is based on placing some blood taken from a person in a special tube, centrifuging it, separating it into its components, and giving the resulting “platelet-enriched plasma” back to the same person by injection.
What is the purpose of PRP application?
Platelets – or also known as thrombocytes – are blood components that contain “growth factors” that enable the repair of damaged tissues in our body. When any damage occurs in our tissues, our circulatory system collects platelets into this tissue and initiates a repair process. The purpose of PRP application is to place more platelets in this target tissue than can be carried by the blood circulation. Thus, the repair of damaged tissue will occur quickly and strongly.
In which areas is it applied?
In aesthetic medicine, PRP is used in body parts such as face, neck, décolleté area, hands, arms, inner legs, etc.
• To smooth out wrinkles, eliminate depressions, and restore elasticity and shine to the skin, reversing the results of years of exposure to UV rays,
• To ensure rapid restructuring of the skin immediately after applications such as laser / peeling.
• To control wounds that take a long time to heal, cracks and conditions where the skin quality is damaged,
• In the treatment of dark circles under the eyes.
How is PRP applied in practice?
2 or 3 tubes (15-20 ml) of blood are taken from the person to whom the application will be performed, and the platelets are separated in the centrifuge device. This product is applied to damaged tissue, its rejuvenating effect on the skin becomes evident with a bright and vibrant appearance immediately after application.
When is the positive effect seen in PRP application?
A healthy shine appears on the skin immediately after application. Later, there is a slight regression in this bright appearance, but after 3 or 4 applications (that is, after 1 cure), a permanent effect becomes evident.
Will the positive results obtained with one cure disappear completely afterwards?
It does not disappear, but it is necessary to repeat the cures consisting of 3 or 4 applications every 10-12 months. In this case, the effect of the applied cures is equivalent to a permanent rejuvenating effect. In other words, a cure consisting of 3 or 4 applications every 15 days should be repeated every year on average.
Are there any undesirable effects in this application?
The patient is given a material (PRP) produced from his own blood. The procedure is simply to initiate and accelerate the wound healing process. There is no possibility of encountering an undesirable effect.
Are there any people who have problems with PRP application?
This procedure cannot be performed in patients with insufficient platelet count or cancer patients.
What should be expected from PRP application?
PRP application for cosmetic purposes has superior features that will meet many expectations. Because;
• It is long effective,
• It revitalizes and restructures the skin naturally.
• It is applied easily and safely.
• It supports not only new collagen formation but also all vital functions of the skin.
• It removes wrinkles and lines by “rejuvenating” the skin rather than “filling” it.
• When cures consisting of 3 or 4 applications are repeated every 10-12 months, it is possible to achieve a long-lasting rejuvenating effect that can be considered permanent.
